Welcome to New Jersey Backyard Chickens! If you are new to the chicken world or are currently experienced in keeping Chickens, then lets all share our knowledge and experiences to build a Happy, Healthy Flock.

This is a group for people with chickens or thinking about getting chickens. The common denominator is a love of all things chicken. I have 6 chickens that I keep in a highly protected coop in my backyard. We will meet to share ideas about best practices on raising chickens, how to best protect them from predators, what we feed are chickens, and overall just share fun anecdotes about our chickens.

This is a group for people who keep chickens (or other poultry) or are interested in keeping them. We will cover all aspects of backyard poultry keeping: Free range or enclosed pens, different types of birds, the laws, breeding, eggs and hatching, egg recipes, and the just plain fun of watching them run around.
